INTRODUCTION [laia]The United Arab Emirates is situated in Asia, on the north of Omar, on the Est of Arabian Saudi and on the south of the Persian Gulf with a 83.600 km2 of area. The capital is Abu Dhabi and it has 9.205.651 habitants (calculated in 2013). The official language is Arabic and the other ones are English, Persian, Hindi and Urdu. The main religion is Islamic. The Emirates is important because of its oil reserves and natural gas reserves what makes it be in the eighth position of the richest country in the world. The United Arab Emirates become independent from the United Kingdom on the second of December in 1971 and now a days it’s a Federal Presidential Constitutional Monarchy by KHALIFA BIN ZAYED AL NAHYAN. The flora and fauna are very lacking because of his poverty of water. Because of this, everyone has the easiness to the desalination plants (màquines desalinitzadores).
